Who knew that someone was credited with this? (1732) Italian anatomist Antonio Maria Valsalva was born. He is credited with developing the Valsalva maneuver, the process of trying to blow air out of your nose while it is plugged in order to clear the airways of the ears.

Information about Salivary Cortisol.  The newest information isMidnight Salivary Cortisol Versus Urinary Free and Midnight Serum Cortisol as Screening Tests for Cushing's Syndrome. There is currently no optimaltest to screen for endogenous Cushing's syndrome (CS) in children. Traditional  24-hour urine or midnight serum cortisol values may be difficult toobtain or elevated by  venipuncture stress. We hypothesized that salivarycortisol measurement is a reliable way to screen for CS in children.
