Information about Salivary Cortisol.  The newest information isMidnight Salivary Cortisol Versus Urinary Free and Midnight Serum Cortisol as Screening Tests for Cushing's Syndrome. There is currently no optimaltest to screen for endogenous Cushing's syndrome (CS) in children. Traditional  24-hour urine or midnight serum cortisol values may be difficult toobtain or elevated by  venipuncture stress. We hypothesized that salivarycortisol measurement is a reliable way to screen for CS in children.
