  1. Do not listen to those doctors; as others have said, it is a scientific fact that Cushing's makes you gain weight. I was undiagnosed for 18+ years and every year getting heavier. I tried dieting for the last 5 years of that, even down to 500 calories a day and I could only lose weight in water for a while and not a pound of fat would budge. So not only ill through dehydration but no success. Also I'm sure others here will have experienced not only doctors but family and friends who can't believe you are not secretly binging, and look at you as the sad, fat person who can't control their eating. Go to a new doctor and/or endo asap until you find someone who knows what they're talking about. Cushing's is a serious matter and if untreated can be fatal, so you must persevere. Good luck, all your fellow cushie's are supporting you. x
