  1. I wish I could say the same... I started taking GH after my second [failed] pit surgery and have had none of the positive effects....it's been almost two years. With Dr. F.'s intervention I finally got on the correct dose, quit taking oral estrogen, and my IGF-1 went into normal range, but haven't seen any of those physical side effects. My problem: *&@!! cortisol. Mine is still out of control and I think that's key. Getting cortisol to stay in normal range...then other things can work properly. I'm beginning to think that too much cortisol trumps EVERYTHING...when I'm cycling high and wide awake at night, I can take a double dose of sleeping pills, my morphine and extra percocet, wash it down with warm milk, and I'm STILL wide awake. During days when it's cycling low, I can take dexamphetamines and struggle to keep my eyes open. What a roller-coaster. I just love hearing that GH supplementing does help though...can't wait for that to happen to me! Shauna, what dose are you on and how long have you been taking it?
  2. I just found out about this group, the Patient Advocate Foundation, and I wanted pass it on. They're a national, non-profit group that assists seriously ill people who are having problems with medical insurance, employment issues, and debt crisis. They don't actually give financial help, they give advice on how to handle situations and in some case can actually negotiate with certain creditors like mortgage companies, banks, utility companies, etc. ? I just got off the phone with one of their case managers, a very nice woman who gave me lots of information for my particular situation. I'm sure they could be of help to others as well. It's worth checking out... Their website is www.patientadvocate.org...[they mostly help cancer patients, but don't let this emphasis on their site deter you.] and the phone number is 1-800-532-5274.
