  1. I am interested in Car magnents with our web adress on them. I was picking up pics the other day and had a broshure out in my car and saw a women who definitly looked like she had cushings she had a brown ring around her neck, and a hump and looked like she was misrable I just could not get enough self confidence to hand it to her so I followed her hoping she would park on the other side of the mall for lunch so I could put it on her wind shield. There has to be esier ways to walk up to people and aproach them. I think there needs to be a sticker just whith the web adress and a catchy phrase and another one for cushie support. I think one that had somthing catchy and then the web adress. I would do that.

  2. Abstract

Background: Small cell carcinomas of pulmonary or extrapulmonary origin are neuroendocrine tumors classically associated with ectopic hormone production, particularly ACTH secretion resulting in Cushing's syndrome. However, ectopic Cushing's syndrome has not previously been reported in the setting of small cell carcinoma of the vagina. Methods: A primary vaginal tumor with hepatic metastases was evaluated with light microscopy. Serum cortisol and plasma ACTH levels were evaluated by radioimmunoassay and immunoradiometric assay, respectively, during a standard high-dose (8 mg) overnight dexamethasone suppression test. Results: Vaginal small cell carcinoma with hepatic metastases was demonstrated. Electrolyte abnormalities, elevated cortisol and ACTH levels, and failure to suppress ACTH secretion during high-dose dexamethasone administration confirmed the diagnosis of ectopic ACTH syndrome. Conclusions: This case report establishes a clinical association between vaginal small cell carcinoma and ectopic Cushing's syndrome, confirming the neuroendocrine potential of this malignancy and features common to small cell neoplasms originating in other sites.

  3. Last year I went off of the edge with really really bad axiety and and paranoia fear like I had a nightmare but I was awake. It was the most horrible thing I was to exsperience. I was out of my mind with fear and off of my rocker.

Reading the article made me wonder about a theory about Schizophrenia. I was reading about schizophrenia and the theory that Hypo thyroidism and Cushings can actually cause the disease. I am not talking about phycosis and short term dilusions or seeing things I am actually thinking about wheather it can cause the horrilbe brain disease Schizophrenia. I know that they can somtimes see it on a MRI. Anyhow thats what popped into my head reading the article. Hope all is well.

  4. I don't mean to sound like a downer I think it would be great to be on the Oprah show and get our word out however lalty her shows are about stars and singers so she gets good ratings. I think Dr.Phill would be even better considering there are tons of people out there thinking Cushings is in there head and that they have some mental illness. I think Dr.Phill would be great too, he more apt to help people and organizations too. Just my two sence.

  5. Well I have never really looked into any of this I just assumed that if Herbs and aromatherapy could cure cushings I would know about it by now. Maybe there is somthing that can help, I am not sure. I do know people that have cushings have bad immune systems. I would look at ways in your diet to boost your immune system and see a homeopath be carefull they try to sell you everything. Just go for one apt and get imput you dont need to take 24 different vitamins my mom always said you pee most of them out anyways. Be carefull with anything you try too, and look it up online and see side effects ect I have had doctors try to perscribe me pill and find out after looking them up some harmfull side effects. I hope all is well and I think it would be cool if there were ways to boot our immune systems with having this desease. I am looking into acupuncture. Hope all is well :)

  6. That would be great if they could do that. I thought I had Lyme at first and had some blood work done I tested neg for Lyme but they found out my immune system was low by testing my CD 57. The normal range is 60-300 mine was at a 17. How scary is that? Just imagine what everybody elses are? I think doctors should use these test to narrow down what peoples problems are and could be. Thanks for all of the advice. I hope that was viral meningitis I want to know how to spot it. I hope thing are well.
