gemini woman
Interesting article - I have often wondered how many people are diagnosed with bipolar that are really cushings. The fact that they responded to lithium I believe is why they were thought to be correctly diagnosed as bipolar and suitable for this study. I wonder if maybe they were actually cyclic and feeling better because of the rise in cortisol. That the lithium was not actually helping them. I wish they would have testing the cortisol at times when they were not doing well - I would be willing to bet the cortisol was low. As many of us cyclic cushies know that the ups and downs are the worse. Now that I am 3 1/2 months postop and in low cortisol I recognize the symptoms all too well and the fatigue and depression, aches are there. But I know the cause.
