Foggy1
Beats me. I've no idea if there is any particular funding available or any sort of national coordinating agency or charity of some sort. Ofcourse, most of those associations don't really do much but fund a few researchers who are willing to plow fields that are already well plowed. Guest Lynne Clemens
I know there is always cushings research going on at NIH (the National Institute of Health). Also, some research at the University of Colorado, Massachusetts General Hospital (through Harvard), University of Virginia, and I'm sure some others. Anyone giong to NIH for a research protocol gets free care, so long as it is part of the protocol they're enrolled in.
Guest Lorrie*
Hi Patty!!! Yep, as lynne said I know that there is research being done at NIH, but I'm not quite sure what the current projects are that they are working on. Also, at UCSF they are going to be working on a project to try and perfect MRI techniques so that they would be able to detect more of the tumors when doing imaging scans. Currently only about 50% of them are detectable on scan. They can't really see mine very well either. Thanks for checkin' in! Love You!
