Yes, yes, yes.... most of the "research" done today is skewed, especially if done by a medical/pharmacological company. Even researchers at the NIH seem to skew their research/studies by choosiing patients which show what they want to show. He indicated to the moderator that you have to do the research first (self-funded) and then the government money may be available for further research. That pretty much said it all.
