And promising... http://news.harvard.edu/gazette/story/2012/03/experimental-drug-improves-cushing?s-disease-%E2%80%A8/
Over 2000 Posts missaf Posted March 8, 2012 Over 2000 Posts Report Share Posted March 8, 2012 It's SOM230, which Dr. L was involved in the clinical trial. I know Dr. F shied away from it because some of the very side effects is causes will make Cushing's symptoms worse, sometimes permanently. zhen
Anyone know the cure rate for this drug? It's more complicated than a cure rate. There's a comprehensive report about the success and adverse event rates on the fda website. http://www.fda.gov/downloads/AdvisoryCommittees/CommitteesMeetingMaterials/Drugs/EndocrinologicandMetabolicDrugsAdvisoryCommittee/UCM326812.pdf
