Recurrent Cushings. I was on here last year having recurrent cushings 20 yrs after the first event! Anyway, had my pituitary surgery in June 2011, lost 2 stone without trying, now, for some unknown reason I've gained half a stone, got spots, heavy periods, brittle nails, tired, feel weak, weepy, puffy, watery eyes and puffy face! It better not be back. Got blood taken today to test thyroid function.

I hope all goes well for you (this time!). I had two pituitary surgeries when I had cushings before and recovery went very well for me. It took about a year in total for everything to start working again but the weight was the main thing to disappear, took about 3mths. Good luck.

Good Morning Diane
Best wishes for a complete tumor removal and a quick and uncomplicated recovery. I am relatively new to this site. I joined upon being diagnosed, but have been occupied with surgery and recovery ever since then. My initial surgery was April 8th (Nat'l Awareness Day) I thought that might be a good sign. LOL! However, apparently I will require an additional surgery...
