  1. Having a great day! 1/2 of my workout done!

  2. The scale moved! All of this very hard work is paying off! 30 day shred, here I come again today! It's blue day at Ryan's school. He is sporting his Imagination Movers t shirt that he pulled out of his drawer last night. He is ready! It's cleaning, exercise, and menu planning for me after a fun morning at Club Mom!

  3. My heart is heavy, but I have peace knowing that God is working in my situation. Ryan begins a new journey in healing today. As I scroll through pictures that my sister took of him, me, & Patrick during that terrible year, my heart longs for the little innocent two year old in those photos. I missed so much of his little life. Hearing him speak in videos she took helps me fill in the gaps missing from my memory. As I lay in a hospital room many times I wondered what he was up to. Now I have...

  4. Reason number 572 that I do not have a Smartphone : no Amber alerts at 2 AM scaring me awake. Mike's phone shall pay!!!! Lol!

  8. Of all the choices for a birthday party in the world for a son to be 5 year old boy, my hilarious, witty, son picks a CACTUS party! Let the fun of planning this one begin!

  9. Best time ever with my boy! He has had such a great week, gotten all his stars on his morning chore chart every day, and has been making progress after a long regression on the potty!! I took him to the restaurant of his choice for lunch. He picked Sweet Tomatoes! YAY for my healthy boy. Then, I finished the surprise with a trip to Monkey Joe's. The look on his face when we got to Pointe Orlando was priceless. After a few times on the bounce houses, he stopped, ran over to me and said, "I jus...

  10. Club boxing this morning! Then making magic playdough with Ryan & taking him to the library. Happy Friday!

  11. Another breakthrough today for Ryan. Let's hope this continues!

  12. Just baked some low calorie chocolate chip cookies and they are good! Only 64 calories per cookie :-)

  13. I was going to whine about my day being blah, but I am pain free, breathing, and alive so none of that mess. I KNOW what a bad day is and today wasn't one. It was a GREAT day! It started out stressful, but ended great! Ryan had another breakthrough today!!! Praising God for his goodness and hoping this continues.

  14. That feeling you get when your hair dryer catches fire and burns a hole on your stomach. Yep, I'm there. Said hair dryer now has a permanent home in the trash can. I am just grateful it wasn't any worse!

  15. Seeking peace for my boy today. I could really use prayer. So much hurt, so much anger, so much anxiety in such a little boy. Monday cannot get here fast enough. Curse you Cushing's for leaving such a horrible impact on my baby!!!!

  20. Most kids are amazed by Shamu and all his/her tricks. My son spent then entire show trying to figure out the timing on the fountains and why the one in the middle (that I didn't know existed) wasn't spraying with all the other ones. I love this kid! What a wonderful, chilly day at Sea World! It seems so odd to be walking that park in jeans and a jacket with numb fingers searching for hot chocolate, seeing the splash pad area deserted, and going to the Wild Arctic/Polar Express to get WARM! LOL!

  21. Day 19: I am thankful for the flexibility of my schedule and being able, on a holiday week, to drop everything and take Ryan to Sea World. I am thankful for our passes, our little car, Sylvia the Silver Saturn, and the gas money to get us there. I am grateful for being able to pack our own lunches to save a few $. I know I keep reiterating the point, but this day last year, I could barely walk across my living room. A year later, I'm walking a theme park with my son. I just want to shout to t...

  22. Ryan and I just finished a puzzle with opposites. He had them all stacked up and said, "Mommy, to my amazement, I can stack them all up!" You're FOUR....stop it!!! LOL!

  23. Day 18: I am thankful for each and every time Ryan comes to me and says, "I think you're the best Mommy ever", "We make a great family", & "I just love you Mommy". I tell him he makes my heart stronger every time. I love my sweet boy.

  24. Beautiful Saturday with my boys. We visited Patrick's grave, went to the park, got groceries, lunch from Panera, NAPPED, and I got 2 of Ryan's Christmas presents ordered. This time last year, I was on the couch in a clavicle strap in tears & pain. LOVING MY LIFE!!!

  25. Day 17: I am thankful for my home. December 12, 2012 will be 11 years since we closed on our house. It has truly become our home. We moved here with so much pride and joy that 3 years into marriage we were able to purchase our first home. It had been a rental for 10 years prior to our purchasing it, and was in pretty rough shape when we looked at it. We knew it was supposed to be ours though. After some mandatory repairs done by the former owner, new paint and carpet, our dream became a reali...
